Training includes:

  • Introduction
  • General EWIS practices
  • Wiring practices documentation
  • Inspection, housekeeping, wire
  • Connective devices and repair

Objectives

The training program is dedicated for the personnel directly involved in the maintenance and inspection of EWIS, identified as (i.a.w. Appendix A to the AMC 20-22):

  • Target group 1 - qualified staff performing EWIS maintenance;
  • Target group 2 - qualified staff performing maintenance inspections on wiring systems.

The training program also covers all requirements for personnel who are not directly involved in the maintenance and inspection of EWIS identified as (i.a.w. Appendix B to the AMC 20-22):

  • Target group 3 – qualified staff performing electrical/avionic engineering on in-service aeroplane;
  • Target group 4 – qualified staff performing general maintenance/ inspections not involving wire maintenance;
  • Target group 5 – qualified staff performing other engineering or planning work on in-service aeroplane;
  • Target group 6 – other service staff with duties in proximity to EWIS;
  • Target groups 7/8 – flight deck crew and cabin crew.

Prerequisites

Familiarity with relevant regulations.

Examination

Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %. Participants will receive a Part-147 certificate upon successful completion of the course.
